Don't Stand By Me

Turning an old friend pretty.

I had this night stand since childhood and I thought it was time for an update. I added a fresh coat of paint and topped it off with fancy paper from a local store called Art Coop. To apply paper, just Modge Podge it to a clean, dry surface and smooth out the bubbles (which is the most difficult part). Also, removing the clutter was easy with storage baskets (found in most home furnishing stores).

cozy kitchen : olivia's table

this entry comes from olivia walder (artist, painter) in champaign, illinois.  I love this comfy, Japanese-inspired seating arrangement created with hand-sewn pillows.  they match the splatter-painted tablecloth that covers an old unused coffee table. paint covers a tablecloth material, then is sealed with a transparent material that keeps the paint safe.

(and yes, there is a black kitten in the first image!)

The Deadly Philobio

WARNING: PHILOBIO IS IN SEASON
I caught a virus a couple of days ago.
I checked the symptoms and found it to
be a virus known as Philobio. Since
the sun came up and the weather got
warm, its only been getting worse. 80%
of all human being catch Philobio
around spring time and do not
even know they have it. It is deadly
and highly contagious. How do you know
if you have Philbio?
Symptoms include:

_Inflammation or swelling of the heart
_Feelings of elation
_Heavily distracted from tasks at hand
_Excessive teeth showing
_Random outbursts of energy
_Cravings to be outside at all times (walking to work instead of driving)
_Dancing/singing in public (if you have reached this point, I am sorry but, there is no turning back)

You have been warned. To avoid Philobio, stay indoors in cold, dark locations. Also avoid contact with all human being. Including this blog. oh crap. sorry.
